Exponential Mindset Blog

Here is a confession. I visit a lot of Facebook groups related to Vancouver real estate. In fact, if you can name it, I probably follow it. I don’t usually comment or at least I try not to as being a realtor is not exactly the most popular occupation in groups convinced that there is an imminent collapse coming. Given the state of the Vancouver real estate market, I see a lot of messages of despair, anger, resignation, etc. But these emotions aren’t simply related to real estate, they reflect a general hopelessness for the average citizen. What we see are messages that inequality is growing, real incomes stagnating, cost of living skyrocketing, etc. People are having a hard time figuring out what is actually going on right now economically.

I do not have all (or even some) of the answers. But through my reading, I have picked up a few clues as to what is going on. So I would like to start a series of blog posts categorized under Making Sense of the World to see if I can help people come up with a better framework of how the world works. After all, exponential was started to empower individuals. Our mission is to empower people to greater heights through real estate and also financial education. So this series strikes to the heart of what we are trying to do.

That being said, I am no guru and am still learning myself. The points of views expressed here is purely my own opinion. Feel free to challenge my views and leave me comments on where you think I am wrong. It is through these discussions that we all learn ways to better navigate this crazy world.
